The Often Herd
The Holly Clarke Trio
Pons Aelius are an ambitious young instrumental sextet exploring the traditional and contemporary folk musics of Britain and beyond. Having played together in various line-ups for some time, the six decided to consolidate all of their projects into one easy to manage group in mid 2014 - and haven’t looked back since! With bold arrangements and an arsenal of instruments, the band meld age-old traditions with a fresh and innovative attitude.
Eabhal are a four-piece band that started on the Isle of Uist, who play traditional music from Scotland, Ireland and further afield alongside original songs and tunes.
The Often Herd reach beyond what is expected of a bluegrass band, marrying the wistful sunshine harmonies of Southern California with the striking industrial allure of their North Eastern (UK) home. An engaging and dynamic live act, the band are able to pull off their intricately arranged material alongside moments of spontaneous improvisation.
Cumbrian Musician Holly Clarke is a singer of traditional and self penned songs. While staying true to the traditional styles of singing Holly aims to bring in a contemporary influence to give old stories a new dramatic edge.
