Early doors we've got Cass Lamb Deejay warming up the wheels of steel - he's curated this months KANEDA! PODCAST so check that deepness for an idea of what to expect from him.

Our BOP parties always have a foundation within the live spectrum so as well as Kaneda's techno wizards BUHL / @DAUGHTERS, wielding their new free form live showcase; the intense, melodic sounds of the mighty Tunnel Club will be all up in your earholes!

Playing host is Newcastle's most under rated venue, Cobalt Studios! Doors open at 9pm so get down early for cheaper entry and we'll partying til late!

BOP! is a new party based in the Toon, showcasing the North East's finest up and coming djs, live performers and visual artists.

Kaneda! was founded in Newcastle Upon Tyne on the ethos of supporting and developing grass root talent from a range of musical backgrounds, promoting an eclectic and exciting range of releases from emerging producers.

Featuring special guest performers, alongside the Kaneda! roster, BOP! As a club night will look to replicate this philosophy, boasting a wealth of musical fineries for fans of all genres to sink their aural hooks into, showcasing the versatility of the record label and the influences behind many of the Kaneda! productions.

Newfolk: Alabaster DePlume, Me Lost Me (I Lost My) & Matt Miller

“Alabaster is a rare man. Restlessly creative, collaborative and eternally grateful of his part in the game. He has written some of my favourite songs. Part performance poet, part Leonard Cohen, part jazz saxophonist and something of the Ivor Cutler – yet these comparisons mean next to nothing. He will bless a room with his unpredictable presence and all are hypnotised. Do not miss.” – Daniel Green, LAISH, Willkommen & Simple Folk Radio

This fluid live music performance reassures with behaviour and sound while it challenges with thoughts and words. With two recent viral clips shared close to a thousand times with 55K minutes viewed, the show delivers a distinct political philosophy through hilarious and provocative honesty. The quartet performance described as “The best artistic event I have ever experienced in my life” on the Manchester Jazz Festival website has also toured solo internationally. Collaborating with a fresh ensemble of musicians each month in his East London development residency ‘Peach’, saxophonist and spoken word artist Alabaster DePlume is engaging communities in the production of his 4th album The Corner of a Sphere. Instrumentals, songs and words respond to musicians, audience and occasion, in celebration of the individuality of all present.

“Totally unique… Very, very brilliant indeed” – Max Reinhardt, BBC Radio 3
“A reminder of how vital and adventurous music can be” – Laura Barton, The Guardian
“Majesty” – Q Magazine
“Takes the biscuit” – DJ Magazine
“Mercurial Delights” – Clash Music
“One of my definite favourite saxophone players from this country” – Shabaka Hutchings

With support from the powerful eletronic folk of Me Lost Me (I Lost Mine) & poet Matt Miller...
